Safety & Security Window Film in Magnolia, TX
Ordinary glass fails instantly and violently. Security film bonds the pane into a single sheet so it holds in the frame after impact — delaying intruders, containing storm debris, and preventing flying glass injuries.
What safety & security film does for you
Forced-Entry Delay
Turns one swing into a prolonged, loud, and usually abandoned attempt.
Injury Prevention
Holds shards together so glass does not become shrapnel.
Storm Protection
Keeps the building envelope intact against wind-borne debris.
Blast Mitigation
Specified films tested against recognized overpressure standards.
Retrofit Friendly
Hardens existing glass at a fraction of the cost of replacement.
Optional Solar Control
Combination films add heat rejection to the safety layer.
How Security Film Works
Security film is a thick, multi-layer polyester laminate — typically 8 to 15 mil, compared to 1.5 mil for standard solar film — bonded to the interior surface of the glass with an aggressive adhesive. When the glass is struck it still breaks, but the fragments remain adhered to the film, and the film remains attached to the pane.
For a smash-and-grab attempt, that difference is decisive. Instead of one swing and entry, an intruder faces repeated loud strikes against a membrane that stubbornly stays in place. Nearly all opportunistic attacks are abandoned in that window, and every additional second is response time for law enforcement.
For maximum performance, film is combined with a structural attachment — either a wet-glaze silicone bead or a mechanical frame system — that anchors the filmed pane to its frame so the entire assembly must fail before entry.
- 8 to 15 mil laminates with high-strength adhesive
- Optional wet-glaze or mechanical attachment systems
- Available clear or combined with solar heat rejection
- Meets common impact and safety glazing standards
School and Campus Safety
Texas districts have made entry-point glazing a priority, and security film is the most cost-effective way to harden existing glass without replacing doors and windows. We focus on vestibule glass, sidelights, door lites, and ground-floor classroom windows — the openings that determine how quickly an intruder can get inside.
We have completed safety film work for campuses across the state and can phase installation over summers, breaks, and weekends so instruction is never interrupted. Documentation is provided for district records and grant reporting.
Storm and Blast Mitigation
On the Gulf Coast, wind-borne debris is the primary cause of building envelope failure. Once a window breaks, internal pressurization can lift a roof. Security film keeps the envelope intact longer and contains the glass shards that cause the majority of storm and blast injuries.
Blast mitigation film is specified for government, industrial, and petrochemical facilities where an overpressure event is a credible risk, and it is tested against recognized blast standards.
